The philosophy by the land art artist Nils-Udo is to never arrive in a place where he should realize a work with an already defined idea. Each work, in fact, is the answer to a determined place which couldn't be realized somewhere else. So he arrived to the Pollino for a second inspection, with his wife, and he spent five days discovering the territory by foot, searching for the right place of inspiration for his work. Since the beginning he was fascinated by the landscape that sourrounds Terranova. The daily trips, some of those were together with Gaetano Lofrano, were focused on the territory between San Severino and Terranova. Several times, Nils-Udo highlighted his intention to not express possible planning ideas before having seen everything could be interesting for him to have an overview of the landscape. However, he inquired about the features of the local stones, blu-coloured flowers, small lakes and rocky landscapes.
