In our stand, high attendance and a lot of contacts to visit the works of art in the Pollino.
It finished last week the Art Fair 2010, one of the most important international art event that is held each year in Bologna during the last week-end of January, and this year the ratings of attendance were higher than the previous editions. The onlookers were a lot and also the news, like the presence of ArtePollino cultural Association which, together with Basilicata Region, promoted here the first edition of the homonimous project, opened during last summer in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Cultural Activities and Heritage and the Venice Biennale Foundation, in the ambit of the Agreement of Sensi Contemporanei Programme. Enhancing and popularizing a so ambitious initiative in an important showcase, full of the most important international contemporary art galleries and world-famous artists, was a moment of great pride and satisfaction both for the Region and the Association. Inside the exposition stand, the members of the association presented the “Arte Pollino UNALTROSUD” project, handing out brochures, postcards, gadgets and informative material, they told about the experience of the project's first year and had the contacts of many visitors, who were fascinated by the realized works of art, interested in and curious for the process of cultural development that was carried out. During the three days of presence in the fair, the requests for visiting the works of art were a lot, both from experts and teachers, with a strong desire to come with their students to Pollino. Moreover, numerous were the artists who expressed their will to take part in a future edition of the project. It definitely was a great satisfaction to change from simple visitors, as it was in the 2008 when Arte Pollino experience started, into protagonists of a such important event, that made it possible to promote not only a single project, but also a wonderful territory, still unexplored for many people. |
