Undoubtedly, the most important moment of the experience was the press conference about the presentation of the catalogue and the documentary, which took place in the room of the Ceiling at the presence of Alberto Versace, the chairman of the "Sensi Contemporanei" Coordinating Committee of MISE, Francesco Pesce, the manager of the Unit for the Evaluation of public investment in the Basilicata Region, Valerio Giambersio, a member of the Unit for the Evaluation of public investment in the Basilicata Region, Aldo Colella, an Arte Pollino consultant and Gaetano Lofrano, the Arte Pollino chiefman.
This experience was really interesting for the audience and it was a great satisfaction for the ArtePollino association to take part in a prestigious exhibition as this one.
The chiefman Lofrano emphasized, besides the presentation of the initiatives which have been carried out by the association for 2 years and the new projects for the future, the aspect that may be considered as the most important one of an innovative process as ArtePollino: the involvement and the participation of the territory, which are essential to the success of a so ambitious project. The association represented and represents the intermediary between the institutions and the territory, because it consists of young people that chose to live on the Pollino, people who know the territory and want to contribute to the cultural and social growth, with the perspective of a real development.
Until now, the path of the association has been positive and it gave great satisfaction, this is proved by the fact that the memberships has increased since the 2008, the year in which it was found, to this day.
The chiefman emphasized the way in which ArtePollino was not a project from above, but an "horizontal" project, which used a methodology based on the sharing and the involvement of the local community. "I think that to better understand the importance of the territory's involvement in a so ambitious project, it is useful to repeat the words that Doctor Versace told during the conference, that is to say that for the success of a project, innovative ideas are not enough, the main thing is the presence of people who support and carry out them. ArtePollino Association includes excellent resources that are ready and determined to support these ideas and keep promoting arts on the territory, because it is considered as an important element for its growth".
