SENISE – From Pollino to London. The members of ArtePollino association flight to discover another Anish Kapoor. One of the most beautiful and fascinating European metropolis, one of the most important art gallery of the world, they were the setting of one of the most important year's event. In the “Royal Academy of Arts” there are the works of the world-famous artist Anish Kapoor. Among the guests of the private opening, there was a delegation of ArtePollino Association, with the vice-chairman Enza Stefano, the members Stefania Arleo, Claudio Sole and the Forastiere-De Luca enterprise, who carried out the works for “Earth Cinema” by Kapoor, realized in the thermal baths of Latronico. A trip that was strongly desired by the members, that met again the artist to see his works close to. The exhibition is a mix of old and new mirror works, with stainless-steel and cement sculptures exhibited for the first time. The whole begins outside the building, in the Annenberg courtyard, where it raises a huge sculpture composed of 76 big spheres laid one upon another, made by stainless-steel polished as a mirror, that seem to be unstable and light as champagne bubbles. Inside, there is the monumental “Svayambh” work, that occupies a suite of five big empty rooms of the Academy. A different “train” from the others, a gigantic monochromatic block of red wax, with the exact dimensions of the arched doors of the rooms, that runs slowly but inexorably on the tracks, leaving everywhere a sticky remnant. A big cannon fires at 20-minutes intervals gigantic cartridges full of red material, a mix of wax and vaseline, through an arch on the wall of the next room. Royal Academy has never seen something like this. A great satisfaction for the Anglo-Indian artist while he was looking at the group arriving from Pollino. The relation that has been created with some world-famous artists makes the ArtePollino project proud and let us have good hopes for the future. A great joy also for Vicente Teodolì, member of the scientific committee of ArtePollino project and Director of Tate Modern, who welcomed the representatives and invited them to come back in London to visit the Tate.
