SENISE – Within the Arte Pollino project, its popularization spreads on the whole territory. It was the turn of Senise, where the young people members of the homonymous Association, involved the children and their parents in the “ArteInPiazza-Art in the Square” creative workshop. It was a moment to awaken the participants, through the knowledge and the popularization of the project, and make them aware of the world of contemporary art expressions thanks to a simple creative action. In collaboration with “Ambrosia” Social Cooperative, the members of the Association arranged to meet each other in the municipal villa of the small town in the Sinni valley, to give free play to their imagination, taking part into a collective action which utilizes the stencil tecnique to decorate the ArtePollino T-shirts.

On the T-shirts, upon the Park's map and in the back side, in addition to the logo of the project, there were also printed the names of the artists selected for the first edition of the ArtePollino event, that reached the peak at the opening on the last 5^th September. The activities involved a great number of partcipants, who painted their T-shirts as they liked, with different colours and patterns. Through the artistic work, it happens a very important thing: the person becomes aware of himself and of his presence, who is able to leave his marks. Moreover, in the moment on which feelings become an art object, it happens a process that helps to understand your state of mind. At the end of the activities, the children took the T-shirts with them as a souvenir of the time spent together, and above all of the desire to visit the works realized by these artists. A project which brought on the Lucania side of the biggest National Park of Europe, some world-famous artists, as the Anglo-Indian sculptor Anish Kapoor, and the provocative and confusing Belgian artist Carsten Höller, a master who based his poetics on the nature, and Giuseppe Penone from Piemonte. Artists who attracted international press attention, that was on the sites of the installations during the opening. On next days there are other itinerant activities planned on the territory, to continue the campaign for the awakening and popularization of this ambitious project full of creativity.
